Took a vacation up near fredricksburg texas. It was awesome. It is a great little town. Took a canoe trip down the upper Guadalupe R. about an hour outside of town. It is a very nice place to canoe. We had the river all to ourselves, except for a fisherman or two. Here are the pics

Good pics and looks like a great float trip. Is the name of that rock in the second pic called Alligator Rock? Real nice double waterfall, too.

Yeah Bruce, that rock does look like a gator. I did not realize it until you mentioned it.

CB, they actually have some good fish in there. We saw a very large trout break the surface near that waterfall. There are rainbow trout and a few other species in this part of the river.

Greg, this is the same river that you saw in New Bransfels, but about 60 miles upstream (in the NW direction). It is not nearly as "populated" up there. (eg not as many college parties and tube floaters )

Actually, now it looks more like a dinosaur head to me.

Oh, I just noticed, it's in the first picture, too.
