We were there yesterday making our way through the fog.
No pigs seen but got some great pictures from the trail cams.
6 other hunting boats out but did not run into any hunters on the ground.
Happy that at least a few of us came out successful.
It was a cold and foggy morning but ended up being a near perfect day. Near perfect, as in I got to go hunting but did not find any friends to take home. :pig-laughing:

You guys hunting the Lake right now should be out all day hunting. I hunted about 10 miles from there for a couple days this week and I was seeing pig movement all hours of the day. Saw about 70 different pigs in 2 1/2 days, and a lot of them were between 10 am and 2 pm.

Wow that is a lot of pigs in a few days time.
Did you bring any home?

We were at our spot before shooting hours and did not stop unil the end of the day and no pigs seen.
We glassed every hill and treeline where the fog would let us not to mention the miles covered hiking.
Even though the trail cams showed plenty of coming and going we could not find them during shooting hours. Sure was nice in the afternoon when the wind picked up and blew the fog out.
Just didn't end up being our day.

I'm pretty picky on the pigs I shoot. I had 5 different opportunities at pigs 15 yards away or less (1 at 4 ft in his bed and another at 5 yards that cruised by me while I was glassing) and I didn't even bother to nock an arrow. I ended up sticking a nice 190 lb boar on the last evening at 21 yards.

Awesome BSA.
That is encouraging news congrats.
We plan on hiking as much of that lake as we can before seasons end and from my GPS tracks we are off to a good start. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>
Pretty interesting that certain areas have good sign and others have really good sign. We have been focusing on the areas with the best sign but from the trail cams we wonder if we are just following around the ones that know the game. <o:p></o:p>
All the pigs coming though the trails we are monitoring are Big pigs and seem to know just when to head into and out of the area. <o:p></o:p>
Either way it's all part of the learning curve and we are having a good time while chasing the hogs around. <o:p></o:p>
