Just so our policy is clear, JHO and I DO NOT condone posting pics with dead animals that are not appropriate.

Example of pics that won't fly here, cigarettes in the animal's mouth, spelling out words with dead animals for chuckles with your friends, humping dead animals, using already dead animals for target practice with your bow to get giggles from you firends, etc. etc.

We've pulled all of the above.

It's not about being PC, it's what I was taught as a kid and it's the right thing to do. You're also handing the antis the ammo they need to stop hunting. Respect the game we chase.

Carry on

I guess you guys out there on the left coast think ALOT different than we do here in Georgia. I did not see anything Inapproiate about the post that I had made. I had cleaned the hog up, there is no blood in the picture. I did not see anything wrong with it. You guys need to lighten up a little. There is NO WAY that post would give any aid or comfort to the enemy.

I thought it a bit disrespectful. That was a fine pig you killed, and the lipstick took a lot away from it.

These types of posts usually brew up real ****storms, here and on other forums, and it has nothing to do with regional differences.

Once again, welcome to Jesse's.

Actually hogguide, I was raised in Iowa and Missouri. It has nothing to do with where you live. I was taught to respect the deer and turkeys we chased and I got a boot in my azz from the old man when I didn't.

Welcome to JHO by the way.

Thanks for the welcome. I think that it was you who invited me here. I am sorry to start off with stirring up such controversy. BUT, I too was taught by my old man to respect deer, turkeys and squirrels that I killed. A HOG, on the other hand is an "Unclean" animal going all the way back into Bible times. I see this as no direspect to the Hog as it was all done in fun last night as a sign of the times that we live in and what is happening in the media right now.
I was gone all day, so I did not see any post after my last post. I guess it must have went downhill fast.
I still do not believe that it was disrepectful to the animal.
But that is My .02

Carry on.

I guess it's a matter of who set the rules and how or what they view as inappropriate or disrespect for the animals. I've heard some people said the way the deer mounts are made with fake eyes and with the head and neck turned at a different angle are disrespectful for the animal. One guy came into an archery shop and said that the hog mount with the mouth open and pink color tongue showing was not appropriate.

deer, turkey is clean, a hog unclean? you made a grown up decision, and the animal died at your hands, it deserves a respectful ending.

so was it a bruiser? sorry, i missed the thread.
