Here are a couple photo's of the new laminated stock on my 458 Lott. The load development is finished as well. I leave for my Season in Africa a a couple weeks. I'm glad to have this wrap around checkering done. This beast will be easier to hang onto now. The Laminated stock is unlike conventional stocks in that it has 1/4" thick pieces. This keeps the sides solid and appear to be solid walnut. however look at the forend and you will see the center pieces have been rotated to prevent the grain patterns from matching. This way splitting is almost completely eliminated.
