The Albacore are starting to take off pretty good. The boats arent getting single boat scores in the 100s yet but the counts are respectable. There are yellowtail in the counts too. They are coming from kelp paddies. Some of the private boaters are doing pretty good too. The minimum distance you need to go is about 40 miles. Right now the 390 seems to be a good place to start. If you go, dont forget to give us a report.                Fubar

Hronk In four days you should have so much fish you will need a truck to get it all back. What are you going to do with all of it? (hint hint) What boat are you going on? How much was a four day trip?        Thanx  Fubar

Two of us are going out on the Searcher on July 17 and return on July 21.  Last time we went was on the American angler and the Yellowfin to 65 lbs was awsome.  We reserved 2 of the last 3 spots available on Feb 12th (5 months in advance)  We put down tarps in the pickup, a 8 in. layer of ice, the fish, more ice, fish, more ice and then another tarp.  Then we replace the top layer of ice about 3 times on the way home.  The fish are brine frozen when we get off of the boat and stay pretty much that way when we get home.  6 hr drive....  Cost this yr is 860.00 for 4 days including great meals, a two person stateroom and fish 'til you go limp....hronk
