Anyways since it happened in anal hunting cali what's the legality of the farmer killing the pig, did he Hava a tag, did he have a depredation permit or is it considered an illegal kill and they should of called dfw to handle it, just curious. ...tra

Farmers in California are allowed to shoot pigs anytime, no hunting license required, no pig tag required, no permit required.

When damaging or destroying, or threatening to immediately damage or destroy land or property; landowner, agent or employee “encounters” damage or threat, may take immediately.

I think the pig's health might have been a contributing factor. A healthy pig, one that can run, would probably run away, like they do when I'm around.
