I'm currently shooting a Darton Viper that I have used to transfer to shooting with sites. For twelve years I shot a compound instinctively and was very good at it but college and a job lessened my practice time so I had to rely on sites. I couldn't quite let go of the shooting tab cause I need to feel the string. Now, I'm thinking of heading toward pendulum sites and a release... thinking of purchasing the Darton Maverick recurve style. I'm a huge fan of the Darton bows but wonder if there is another I should seriously consider.

All opinions asked for... thanks.

Go shoot as many as you can and decide which one feels good in your hands. You need to find a good fit and be comfortable with it. Don't just buy what your buddies suggest or what the shop is pushing.

KS, that's how I ended up buying the Viper. It is a sweet bow, but a might longer than necesary for release shooting and of course, heavier than shorter bows. I really like the Maverick, and am somewhat interested in a couple of Brownings. What are you shooting?
