Was out shedding today with my two sons and a friends dog. Between the boys and I = 11 ticks and I have not checked the dog yet! We're in SE MN were it's been roughly 80 for a couple days bringing out the ticks. NO bugs yet though!

BTW...no sheds:(

Although I've found 1 skull and 5 sheds on other trips:) It's still been a poor year, I normally have 15 or so by now.

That reminds me of that new song " I'd like to check you for ticks". Brings tears to my eyes.

Every time I have been out this year I have brought home ticks. Must be a bad year.

I used to get tons of ticks while working, hiking, hunting during the spring until I started using Permanon--available at wal-mart real cheap.

I treat the close the night before...let them air....and then wear them the next day...no ticks...amazing stuff.

Its not the permanon that is working. It is the fact that you havent showered in 3 months that is working for you.

Ouch! Well, to tell you the truth...it's to keep the ticks from hoppin' off you and crawlin' over to me while drivin' up to the archery course

Still pulling them off from Sunday! My wife found one on her Wednesday, my youngest found another yesterday, and I had one on my sock today! None of us have been in the woods since Sunday! It's an infestation that's grossing me out! We are finding them 3-5 days after being in the woods = soooo gross! Where the hell do these things hide for 5 days?

In your truck! I pulled one off my leg driving down the road. I figured it was on my pack when I set it in the truck. It came off the pack and just waited for someone for it to sink its stupid face into.

They are annoying little buggers for sure. i haven't gotten into them too bad so far this year...we had a little cold snap that really knocked them down while i was still sheddin'. Last year though i was into them so thick that i looked down at my pant leg and had at least 15-20 crawlin up my pants. I went to burn them off and i actually witnessed a tick crawling over another tick....that gave me the heeby-jeebies. I felt like they were crawlin all over me the rest of the day. I'll have to get some of that permanon, sounds like the ticket.

I mispelled it...It's PERMANONE... Wally world has it for under $5.

As M4E can attest...when a few jumped off him cause his blood tasted so bad, one crawled over to me, latched onto my clothes and then keeled over dead.

I sat in a nest of ticks while turkey hunting once. I had a boss gobblin' for a good 20 minutes so I dared not move. I had a couple ticks fall off the brim of my hat....I dared not move. When I got up I pulled over 50 ticks off me....(before I discovered permanone).

Driving home, I kept pulling ticks off me. I had to bomb my car. I had to pull several out of me....I HATE TICKS.

I once had to pull over 200 ticks off my dog and about 50 off me on a Spring pheasant shoot on a preserve...but, that's another story..

Thank God for Permanone!

My God! I just pulled 13 more off the dog! 13 is not that many considering the dog is bigger than a Volkeswagon.
