When I saw Passthru's topic "Deer Galore" it got me thinking about when I first started deer hunting, it was Nov 69. I hunted 3yrs before I harvested one. I started archery hunting in about 73 and that took 4yrs to tag one
Where I work there are some young hunters ( In the 20's) who are always talking about how they got a deer the first year they hunted. They sometimes joke a say " Old Man how come it took you so long ".
Back then I barely saw any tracks let alone a deer. Now we see deer just about everywhere, so TIMES ARE GOOD for Mo. deer hunters.
