Trapping Task Force to Hold Final Meeting Thursday
PORTLAND – A task force appointed by the 2001 Legislature to review best management practices for trapping will meet in Salem Thursday to finalize its recommendations to the 2003 Legislature.
The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the basement meeting room at the Oregon Department of Agriculture, 635 Capitol Street NE, Salem.
The task force has studied trapping practices used in other states, and those developed by the International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. Members of the public will have an opportunity to testify. ODFW staff members serve as advisors to the task force.
