Trigger fixes?

After shooting both the Gamo Whisper Cat and the Hunter Extreme I found both triggers to be very heavy, anyone know a easy fix?

Very good info thank you Inchr48, sad that they don't feel the 1st and 2nd stage adustments are worth a crap.

My Crosman Nitro has a verrrrry loonnnggg trigger pull. You can get used to it, but not my cup of tea.

yep seems like a 1/2 inch of free and then a very stiff 1/4 maybe 1/2 inch. need to rework my compression stand first.
But for know as you said my grandson and I can get use to it enough to play
