Going to get back at it tomorrow 0 dark thirty hope to at least knock an arrow. Better yet let one fly. Public land pigs have proven tough for me.
For sure. I will get one. Maybe tomorrow maybe next week maybe next month but I will get one hopefully before salmon opener so I can have surf and turf all caught by me. I will post back either way tomorrow with what happens. Hope it is with a pic of my bow leaning on a hog.It takes time. Sooner, or probably later, you will score.
Keep us informed.
I have noticed the pigs are smarter than I anticipated how about piney creek?Williams Hill is very dry, but in the area are several small 40 plots in checker board configuration with private. The private has a few water throughs. Lot of pigs on private in the area, but they can read maps and stay off BLM. (Note, haven’t been there in ten years)
Let’s see how salmon goes I got 72 last year and if that’s the case again I will want to trade. Was hoping to drive and meet to trade to avoid shipping but if that’s my only option so be it. I want to eat only wild game at some point in the future but I have to get some on somebody land that has life first.Flash freeze the salmon and I’ll send you as much “private land” hog meat as you want. Say 2lbs of wild pig for every 1lb of Salmon?
Well no pig but I did get to make sure all my gear was legal thanks to game warden. Big shout out to Jim cox at jca archery in salinas helping me assure all is legal. Going to look for new land for next week. Does any one know if there is water at Williams hill or piney creek off Carmel Valley road?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also when salmon season opens anyone want to trade salmon for wild game meat? Thanks
Never heard of piney creekI have noticed the pigs are smarter than I anticipated how about piney creek?
