Shot one today spotted at 75 yards stalked to 30 yards let it fly felt and looked good blood trail was good and had bubbles but I never found it spent 5 hours trying. One step closer to getting one with my bow
It’s a heart breaker for sure, hopefully some hungry coyotes eat it before the buzzards do...lol and hopefully u didn’t get any poison oak after a long search.
Thnx for the report and pics..tra
I went deep in the poison oak. Fortunately it’s early so it not as bad but definitely budding in my areas. Remember that turkey will be covered in oak that we get next week.
Looked like the hog was rubbing the wound on some of the branches. I have seen where they roll in dirt, it stops the bleeding for awhile, and then they keep running and you can’t track them. Did you find the bow or a piece of it?
It has been several years, but when we leased a ranch near Parkfield for about 10 years, we occasionally found a broadhead encased in scar tissue in the pigs as we skinned them. We became careful so as to not cut ourselves on them.
