TBWA dinner

The Tulare Basin Wetland Association has announced its seventh annual fund-raising banquet. Tickets are on sale on a first-come, first-served basis for the popular event on Jan. 24 at the Wasco Elk's lodge. Cocktails, steaks and raffles, along with a live and silent auction of guns, outdoor gear and art, will highlight the evening of fun and activities on the eve of the last weekend of the waterfowl season.

The TBWA was founded to further the cause of wetlands conservation and habitat enhancement in Kern, Kings and Tulare counties. It is the voice of waterfowl enthusiasts in our area and needs to be supported by both hunting and non-hunting conservationists.

Last year's event was a sellout, so get your tickets now. Call Joe Covello at 663-0802, Daryl Franks at 978-4050 or Bill Caughlin at 637-9293 for more information.
