Tule fog. Hate that stuff. Why is it becoming less commmon?

It is becoming less common because of climate change or hot air from Sacramento. Not sure which.

Not much time to check it out but here is a brief explanation:
Didn't see it in the article but fog usually forms when temp and dew point are within 3 degrees of each other. Low points (vallies) usually have less breeze to blow out moisture and are warmer than surrounding higher elevation.....prefect for ground fog.

I love the fog. Despite miserable driving conditions, some of my best duck hunts have been in the fog. Ducks fly low, and appear suddenly right in your face. Love it.

Urbanization, development. The IE had the same problem back in the 90's with the fog. Ag lands were paved and housed over. Less ground water to evaporate and become fog. The fog occurs less frequently now and not with the severity it once had.
