Turkey in Big Sandy SWA?

I'll be working at Camp Roberts for a little over a week during late turkey season. It's closed for hunting, and I really don't want to pay for Fort Hunter Liggett base permit for that short of a duration. Does anyone know if Big Sandy holds turkeys, or any other public land in the area that does? I'm not that familiar with the area, just fished Nacimento a little last time I was up there for a week.Thanks!
