How are you guys catching those birds. Just picking a log or are these known drumming locations?

The birch log, I tracked down last year, the moss-covered this year. I just listen for one to start drumming and walk towards it, stop when it stops and repeat until you walk right up on it and usually flush it right off of the log. Then set the camera at the worn section of the log where all of the crap is.
