i like the following

home depot electrical box 6"x6"X4"
ms20 sensor
welby/tinhorn one shot delay timer
canon sure shot owl pf
12v 1.2ah battery
i have built 12 of them, 2 for me, 10 for friends, i can knock one out in a couple hours, depending on the camera cost it runs $75 to $95

cost not being a factor, I'd use a 6x6x4" hoffman electircal box. Cannon PF Date. ms-20, 1.2ah 12volt battery. I don't use a timer so I don't know which one is best.

I have both the PVC and 30cal. boxes in use and allthough
the PVC makes for a smaller and nicer looking cam , the ammo can is more convenient to use. There are no sensor wires moved when it's opened up , and no screws or wingnuts to drop. ( my sensors are mounted outside of the box and can.)

if the ULTIMATE cam is what your look for, i assume you want the following;
   power flash
   ext. event counter/reset
   pic delay timer
   shutter out-put timer
   walk test LED
   adj. PIR sensitvity
   hinged W/latch encloser
   long bat. life
all for say, $125.00-$135.00? you need hamiltoes board, a pellican 1120 box,and the OWL PF/DATE.
if you can solder you can put the board togather your self. he supplys inst. and parts. its a high end unit when your done for 1/3 of the price.
