Anyone use Under Armor boots? I've been needing a new pair of hunting boots and wanted something light weight and comfortable. Was walking through Sportsmans warehouse yesterday and picked up a pair of Under Armor Valsetz, they have the same sole as their trail running shoe and are extremely comfortable. Not waterproof but they would fit with bow season or warm weather hunting.

Any experience post it up, or I'll review them in a couple months.

I have been looking at those under armour speed freak boots for archery season, I think they are waterproof solus. I will be getting them soon. Any under armour product I have ever used is awesome

The Valsetz aren't water proof but I bet you could give them a good spray down before a hunting trip and they would be fine as long as you aren't standing in water. I usually hunt A zone in the Paso to Pozo area (although I have a D8 tag too) and these boots really sold me on their lightweight and breathability. Freaking hot in Pozo in August.

Snakes are a concern though!

I been using the speed freaks for a year now and I would highly not recommend them for archery hunting. These boots smell horrible an smells worse when wet. I have smeared cow pies, mud, sand, cover scent and nothing really worked to get rid of the smell the first 8 months. I spoke to the UA rep at a trade show and it semis to be te biggest complaint. But! They are the most comfortable boots I have ever purchased. Works perfect for turkey hunting. If you buy a pair take some time to get rid of the smell on the leather. Supposedly the treatment on the pig skin leather is the culprit of the smell.

Good luck!

The soles are the same as the trail running shoes, so even though they are a little thin im hoping they are still pretty tough.
