I wired all four wires the following manner:

Black -> Shutter
Red -> Refresh
Green -> Power on/off
Yellow -> Common or Ground

The green wire was soldered to the power connection.

Once powered up the camera never completely shut off until I pulled the phone jack. I could close the lens cover and it would still take a picture. I eventually clipped the green (power) wire and now it shuts off normally.

Is that normal?

Thanks,
Tomo

what Pic chip are you using? Are you wanting it to be a On/Off style Camera or Always on with using a refresh pulse? 2 differant setups all together and each is wored differantly.

Not all of the phone plug wires from Pixcontroller have the same color sequence so you can't go by color code. Look at the plug as it lines up with the jack and make sure that the wires are soldered to the right connection. Pixcontroller has updated their site recently and added a page specifically to address this situation. http://www.pixcontroller.com/Products/PixU_CameraPort.htm Hope this helps.
