A friend of mine saw hogs in the north west corner mid August. Last I have heard.

A couple of things you should know: Yes, there are pigs there but they are transient. They move in and out of Cottonwood throughout the year. If you are fortunate enough to kill a pig then you have to figure on how to get it out. It is a long way back to the car. Not to be too negative but I saw two guys dragging a large boar for a mile or so. I thought they were going to have a heart attack. Take a game cart and save your back.

Rifle is fine for Upper Cottonwood, but I don't recall what parts of the year it is open for pig hunting -- it is not open year around if memory serves me correct. Check it out.

If I remember correctly, I thought the upper cotton wood area closes in January.
