IS THERE ANY OF YOU HOMEBREW SPECIALIST THAT HAVE A LIST OF USEABLE CAMERAS. I SEE PICTURES OF CAMS THAT ARE USING DIFFERENT CAMS.I HAVE PURCHASED 2 NEW OWLS AND I AM HEADED FOR THE PAWN SHOPS FIRST THING IN THE MORNING.
Check this URL http://www.jesseshuntingpage.com/homebrew-cams.html#notes. I've used the Fuji Discovery 90's for two cameras. They work OK but the flash is really weak when compared to some of the pictures I've seen from the Owl PF Dates. I'm looking now for an Owl for my next camera eventhough I have two more Discovery 90's available.
Here is my wallet quick referance card. You just never know when you come across that deal of the century.
*Canon Sure Shot Owl PF Date camera
( model CZ2-3095), (like mine)
*Canon Sure Shot Owl Date camera
*Canon Sure Shot Owl BF Date (weaker flash)
(modified like mine)
*Canon Snappy LXII Time/Date
Polaroid 2400ff SAID TO BE EASY
*Olympus Infinity Jr. Date/Time
Samsung Maxima 33S: EXCELLENT Easy to modify, strong flash, excellent battery life and no sleep mode. They are hard to find sometimes but well worth it.
Olympus XP: EXCELLENT, same as Maxima, but a little more difficult to wire.
Fuji Discovery 90: Very Good. Some older ones loose their flash charge and need a refresh. Easy to modify, and no sleep. Kind of big though.
Fuji 60AF: Fair: Pain in the but to wire, needs refresh pulse, decnet flash, good price, and widely available.
Vivitar BV85DB: Fair: Same as Fuji, but not as widely available.
