Geocoding is not an exact science.  Depending on the direction the street centerline was created, the address found could be at the opposite end of where it actually is.  Also, gecoding assumes address are spaced at an equal interval.  For example, a line has an address range of 1-100 and you ask to find 50.  Geocoding will place the location at midway along the line when the adress actually might not be equal distances between road intersections.  This is particularly true of rural areas.

Just some food for thought.
