I have built and use several,(about 12 now) the first thing you need to know is that you don,t want to build/make something thats heavy or difficult to move quickly and quitely in , my advise after building several is to make things easy on your self and start with a fairly cheap camo coverall or shirt/slacks combo with hood and add sewn on strips of camo cloth and a couple packs of (SNEAKY LEAVES) it takes two packs to do a good job, BTW dont forget a cover for your head,face,back pack and rifle also

carefull planing will allow a good combo that works EXTREMELY WELL for under $100 while other home made suits start off looking like they will be cheaper but either wind up costing more or restrict movement and quick shots (especially with a bow)
not only do I wear it, Ive scared the crap out of more than one hunter by as far as they were concerned jumping out of thin air and saying something too them, I can,t count the number of times people , mule deer AND ELK Have walked within 20 yards of me wearing that suit.and never noticed me, while you may have your doubts as to its effectiveness I SURE DON,T, even my pack and gun have this camo added! I almost gave one game warden a heart attack by standing up next too him when he had no idea I was there! If you choose to hunt without the ability to become invisable too game (and extra hunters) I think your possiably just not aware of all the times game spots hunters BEFORE the hunters spot the game, with that suit I can sit in a patch of brush in the shade and get far closer to game trails without spooking game for extremely close shots.PLEASE DON,T think Im knocking what ever method your useing but I like to VERY SLOWLY move through the timber when still hunting once Ive located the ELK herd and gotten in close or to sit on a good terrain bottle neck and let other hunters push elk by me!
