Wait until you see Arizona's! Looks like they want caps of $3500 for elk and $1200 for deer tags. Not sure how close they will come to that, but be prepared for a much larger increase than Utah.

With the draw rates the way they are, these are basically once in a lifetime hunts. I hate the increases but it is not like I am going every year. What caught my eye the other day was how cheap sheep tags are for CA NR compared to other states. CA should be inline with the other states NR fees and import Oryx to Fort Irwin like WSMR did. That is a money maker

Utah went up roughly 50% across the board for elk and once in a lifetime, residents, nonresidents alike. The nonresident/resident price ratio is about 5:1, one of the lowest in the west. Deer went up about 25% across the board. Introducing non-native species in CA will be pretty tough in the future, our political climate has changed. Turkeys would never be introduced, if you had to start from scratch today.

Ya, and NM res:nonres ratios on Oryx is almost 14:1 and for Ibex is nearly 21:1.
At 21:1, NR limited elk in Utah would be over $6000 and the premium tags would be over $11000!
