Utah Antlerless Credit Cards being hit

Friend of mine just texted that 1 of his 2 family apps hit his credit card. Keep your eyes peeled on your emails and texts if you have credit card charge alerts.

My card just got hit for cow elk for both myself and my 12 year old. His first year hunting and he can't wipe the smile off his face!

Going to be busy in Utah this year. Drew a general deer tag as well. All three of our cow elk tags were drawn with zero points. General deer tag was drawn with 3 pts. Blessed to be able to draw back to back years for the cow tag. Great freezer filling hunts.

I thought about getting a cow tag in the same unit as our Muzzy tag it starts two days after the deer tag ends you know where going to locate cows for sure now that we don't have a tag

For sure. That's how the world works. Last year we had the cow tag and all we managed to see the first 3 days was about 100 does. But if you have two tags for different species at the same time, I have found you end up getting tag soup on both, as I have ended up trying to fill both instead of concentrating on one, and letting the other come to me out of pure dumb luck.rayin :

You should have put in. In Utah you can hunt cow elk at the same time you hunt your buck deer,regardless of the cow elk hunt date. As long as it's the same unit and the same weapon you're good.

Just found out that my buddies and I drew Panguitch Lake antlerless elk for December 26 to January 14. This is my first ever elk hunt and my first ever out of state hunt. Stoked!

They are split season. Early and late. Oct 7 - Oct 31, 2017

and how is treating Utah so far

Congrats. Hopefully the Brian Head fire doesn't shut down the whole unit for you guys. I think you should be ok with the southern part of the unit below Hwy 143.

Non residents tend to get treated a little better here, plus I'm hunting a unit with high elk densities so everybody wants one. Otherwise loving life here! Just need to draw some tags and I'll be set.
