<style> BODY {font-family="Arial"} TT {font-family="Courier New"} BLOCKQUOTE.CITE {padding-left:0.5em; margin-left:0; margin-right:0; margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0; border-left:"solid 2";} </style> Just got this in email. Dayum, I never made it up to hunt. For those that invited me up I appreciate the offer.

Due to some misuse the Wing CC has terminated the "Guest Hunting Program." Any questions can be directed to the Vandenberg Fish and Game office at (805) 606-6804. Thanks!

That sucks. There goes my summer plans. Like so many other good hunting opportunities spoiled because of a few idiots.

This sucks, I was planning on taking my dad out there next week ,and have him come with my this year for deer since I will be stationed in Pendleton come this Sept. I guess Ill be hunting somewhere else, unless I can find another Marine willing to hunt out in Vandenberg with me.

Pretty sad when a few knuckleheads ruin the program for the rest of the guys who follow the rules...

This is too bad. I read the Wing official statement, But it does not say much...... Has anyone heard what the reasons are?

So much for the buddy system!!!! When you really need the extra help to drag one or two out of the thicket. Hopefully there will be some helping hands

Only the "Good Times" will be remembered when you look back from this. I am sure there are plenty of memories that will not be forgotten out at VAFB. The best ones were when you were able to take a friend, or most important a family member that enjoyed the hunting opportunity as they say in: "Vandy Land"

Time will tell. We Can't change that things that already happened, however we can think or hope for a positive outcome.

I was not given the opportunity to hunt last year, but this year I will give it my best. And from the looks of it, "It's going to be a good year"

Don't tell me you're a jarhead??? lol....
Jimmy!!! You know very well that hunting without your dad, or my brother will never be the same.

It's not that same when you can't share the hunting momment. In 2007 my brother was not able to go hunting, so I went alone. I shot a nice 3x3 but it was not the same when your brother or father is not there to share that moment.

Did I mention that I forgot my knife, and I was not able to gut it so I dragged it, I came accross another hunter and asked him if I could borrow his knife and he did not say a word, he just nodded at me. So much for the help.

I heard rumors that a sponsor was getting paid for sponsoring. Make what you want out of it, that's certainly "misuse." It sucks that this is my first post but I've hunted there close to 20 years with my dad. Hopefully I can still go and hike with him without my rifle. If not, I'll definitely have countless memories to cherish.

If someone was being paid to "sponsor" or "guide" they needed to be cited for guiding without a license. It's a shame the group has to be punished for some clownshoes' action.

LtDann Sir,
Little Jimmy grew up to be a fine Marine, I have known him and his father when we use to hunt FHL many moons ago, when I was a Lance Cooley or E-3 and Little Jimmy was in High School. Hell of a hunter let me tell you. Good people.

Good morning Cargadores,
Now if them rumors are true, then he really FFFFfffTTTTT!!! it up for everyone.... When someone plays with our hunting it's playing with my emotions, Yes!! I am a sensitive hunter... lol... when it comes to hunting..

-We need to bag him :bag-on-head:and tag this "INDIVIDUAL":chimp: :smiley_smack_paddle- am joking by the way.

That would be nice if they allow who we sponsor the without a rifle and hike, but I know for a fact it's against the rules and regulations at VAFB.

From what I was told by a warden familiar with the issue is the person was donating a hunt for a non profit charity without the wing commander's okay. There was no money paid for a guided hunt deal.

Ahhh, little Jimmy ain't so little anymore! Outstanding, I look forward to sharing a campfire with him again. Pop probably had a cow when he went to the Corps rather than the Navy, LOL... its all good!

Are you sure you're talking about the right little Jimmy? The one I know is in the Navy...

Just to clarify, the Jimmy that hunter0331 is talking about, is me. But I'm not the same Jimmy that the rest of you know.
