Does a father-in-law qualify for an immediate family member? I'm sure it doesn't but just thought I ask.

The guest program is in effect, FOR IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS ONLY AND ACTIVE DUTY ARE THE ONLY HUNTERS AUTHORIZED TO BRING GUEST HUNTERS ON BASE.

Wow, this is crappy news, also looks like it's limited to pigs and small game. My dad served 18 years in the air force, 8 years at Vandenberg. I grew up there, took my hunter's safety course at the rod and gun club and now I can't hunt there with him anymore.

At this point no; you cannot.

That may change. A letter to the 30th SW commander expressing your position might not hurt. (this was suggested by base fish and game) This is the result of someone doing something wrong and getting caught, with repercussions felt by innocent folks like yourself.

VAFB COYOTES

Alan,
Well looks like good news all around with them coyotes!!!
Now as to hunt them, are we allowed to use electronic calls??

Or the basic jack in distress or cotton?

Look for the Vandenberg Air Force Base website. There should be an address there somewhere. You could also call the Base Fish and Game office for an address. The number is 805 606 6804.
