Waterfowl blind draw for Doug Travis WMA scheduled for August 25

Frankfort, Kentucky - The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources will hold a public drawing Saturday, August 25 for waterfowl hunting blind sites for the 2007-2008 season on Doug Travis Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Carlisle and Hickman counties. The drawing will be held at the Doug Travis WMA office one-half mile south of Berkley on KY 123.
Drawings will be held for ten blind sites. Entrants for the drawing must be 18 years of age and possess a valid Kentucky hunting license, Kentucky waterfowl permit and a valid Federal Migratory Bird Stamp. Sign-ups for the drawing will be held at 9 a.m. with the drawing at 10 a.m. Central time.
Drawn individuals must be present in order to select their desired blind site. Each person drawn may name a co-owner of the blind site for hunting in the absence of the person drawn. Co-owners must be present at the drawing and named for each blind site by 11 a.m. on August 25.
Signs will be posted directing individuals to the Doug Travis WMA office on the day of the drawing. For more information on the blind site draw, call 1-270-488-3233.
