Please post your pictures for this week's Weekly Challenge, which is INSECTS!

Please post your camera information, species and general location. That way we can use this to learn from as well.

Thanks,

I was trying to take pictures of these Jacob's Ladders flowers a couple days ago, and this little bee kept getting in the way, so he got his picture taken.

Well, you're all puttin' me to shame, but I sure am learning a lot about my camera...

First, exposure data doesn't stay with the file, huh? Will make note next time. Also, I may need a second job to pay for batteries.

Edit: Sorry about the big file the first time. Here's a smaller one.

Taken with a Sony DSC-S85 on macro mode.

Not to good at photography but willing to give it a shot. Had to go into the woods to get one of my game cameras that had a digital Olympus 380 to use for this photo. Wish I had a through the lense viewfinder, had to just guess.

I took this with a Oly-C740uz. Found this critter sitting on a Beargrass bloom in the Northern Oregon Cascades. At first I thought it was a bumble bee, but on closer inspection it looks more like some sort of fly!
