Pretty good stuff everyone. A couple of "rules" (if you want to call them that) when it comes to Macro photography.
1) Try to balance your depth of field to show as much as your subject in focus, while at the same time keeping the backround blurred. Remember, the higher the "f-stop", the more depth of field you will attain (ie: f5.6 will have less dof than f13).
2) Try to isolate your subject as not to show any bright spots or other such areas that will draw your eye away from the subject.
3) Break all the rules and discover something new about how you shoot!!
Thanks for participating everyone, check out the next Challenge suggested by foulshot, SUNRISES/SUNSETS!!
Sorry folks, I've been swamped with all the fires in SoCal this week at work and doing a website upgrade here. I really wanted to get out with the camera for at least an hour or two.
I'll get some pics for the next essay.
One request is to PLEASE keep pics under 640 pixles in width. If the pic is too wide it makes people have to scroll back and forth to see the whole pic. You can test out your pics in the Test forum 1st before testing them here. Thanks.
Pasco, my pic data stays with the image file and I have to use my Olympus Cam Media software to see it. f-stop, ISO etc.
Get some NiMH rechargeable batteries too at Wal-Mart, the 1800 mAH ones. You'll go broke using reglular alkaline with a digital camera.
