So Im gettin my first deer mounted. Sendin my antlers to:

Western Wildlife Taxidermy
Roseville, CA 95747
1-916-204-8380

Owner: Aaron Armstrong

I know its wasnt the biggest deer ever, but Im getting the whole works done. I couldnt pass up on the opportunity to have my buck mounted for such a darn good deal. He has allot of pics on his facebook (great lookin work). The actual website doesnt work anymore. He came recommended by the owner of Golden Ram Sportsmans Club.

Just wanted to know if anyone has had any experiance or knows of him

Yeah, I had a bear done by him. It was really pricey, according to taxidermists that I've met since, and I wasn't happy with the job at all. He painted the mouth an odd brown color, which I had to have redone. And when you feel the hide, you can feel that he used a form that was too small for the bear, and just sort of folded the skin up around each arm, letting the hair hide it. So the mount is much smaller than my actual bear was. I would not use him again.

Thanks for the input. I already sent off my antlers. Anything will look better than just the top of his head like I was gonna leave him. If its for FREE you cant really complain right???? I will for sure let you know how it turns out in the end. Im hopeing for a call before the Bzone opener since he already had a tanned deer hide waiting for my antlers. But I know the turn around is usually 10-12 months.
