Thought this would be the best place to post this pic................I bought it from a Gal in Washington state. She didn't know what it was.................It's a cross between a Whitetail or Mulie Deer........I know they can cross breed, but I think this is a Whitetail...
My friends think its a Mulie, what are your reactions to this set........????? Yes,it is huge,Scores around 175 to 180.................

I vote mulie as well, especially with the tiny brow tines.

I'd say he might be a crossbred. But he has definitely got more muley than whitetail. The brows are a dead give away. A whitetail of that age would have so serious brows by now. We got them both around here and would have to say muley.

If you have to pick one or the other I'd have to go mulie just as the others based on brow tines. i used to hunt an area where whitetail and mulie's ran together all the time, both my dad and his friend had taken one- its an interesting thing. Nice rack regardless.

That is is a mulie. I laugh when a lot of guys kill/see a muley with a whitetail like frame and assume that it must be a whitetail cross. I have pictures of huge mulies that their antler configurations look exaxtly like a whitetail yet there isn't a whitetail for 200 miles... On the other hand I've seen whitetail/muley cross that have antlers that look exactly like a mule deer. In your case the way the mainbeams are, with the other strong configurations its defiently a mule deer. I will post some pics up later of some muley that are crosses. Its hard to tell by antler configuration but its a lot easier to tell if u see it on the hoof.

I agree, just because the antlers grow a little different in no way does it mean a different species. Mulie is my vote.

I vote muley. There are no whitetails in calif. and we still find antlers from bucks with the whitetail configurations. I have some pics of these I will repost in a couple of minutes.
