I dont have a dedicated memory card reader yet for my CF card. I just plug the camera into the computer to transfer files. The onboard interface on the camera is USB 1.0 I think. It takes an extremely long time to transfer files onto the computer. I am considering getting a dedicated reader, but was wondering what you guys use? I was planning on getting a reader with a firewire interface, but if there is good news on the USB 2.0, it wouldnt hurt my feelings to save a few bucks either.

My lap top has a built in SD drive. Works fast, especially with high speed SD cards.

I use the USB 2.0 Multi-reader. I know that it is faster than the camera, but not sure how it compares to the firewire.
Most of the time I'm downloading off a 1gig card, and as you know the folders are broken into 100 shot/folder. I'm sure file size will have something to do with download time and 98% of my files are shot in RAW.

That would be a good question to ask at DPReview. If you don't want to sign up over there just let me know and I"ll ask, if you have signed up post a link.

I use the lexar USB 2.0 multi card reader, I bought a few of them on line for about $10.00 each, they are faster than a camera hook up but all card readers are.
