When would you go?

What part of september would you go to Montana to bowhunt elk? Here in Washington the third week is usually the best bet for the rut.

The elk were pretty darned vocal over labor day weekend 6-7 years ago @ treeline on Mt St. Helens. Would go over there from Vancouver just to here 'em when I lived up there.

I'd like to go to Montana or Wyo the second or third week of Sept for archery elk.
