I've never owned a digital camera and wanted to buy one this year for taking picutres while hunting. I would like to spend $300 or less. Could anyone recommend a decent camera in this price range.

There are so many to choice from. I would stick with something around 3.0mp, I find this to be the minium if you want to print decent photos. I bought my Canon A80 for $350, takes great pictures, even when I blow the pictures up to poster size. Very one has there one opinion about camers, just like guns, so the best thing I could recommend is go to online sites and read reviews, I would recommend dpreview.com, a lot of helpful informantion along with professional reviews (+ consumer reviews) of almost very camera.
