Use ta be ya couldn't elbow in a spot here. Took all night to read clear through all the stories. Now I'm just managing to find a few crumbs for reading enjoyment. Is it the heat and time of year?

Where'd everyone go? Bunch of no good hawg hunters, laying up all day like them dern hawgs and not postin nuttin. Shame on you!

I think it's hawg fever, that's what I got.

Yeah, I'm jonesin for a fix too, both the stories and a hog for myself
<
Too hot and maybe folks are gearing up for deer season and not getting out after the hogs as much. That's sort of my excuse. That and no where to go

I'm working some leads on a place but won't know more for a few weeks.

Noticed that too!

Must be the heat. Its just too hot outside for a man or a beast. Its manana for unmowed lawn and a wooden arc to hold my bougainvillea.

I just lay all day yesterday on the sofa with 6 hours of history channel on the revolution. Got a good excuse from the wifey. A fellow jogger had to call 911 as I nearly passed out halfway (1 mile) from my usual 2-mile daily jog.

I went out last Friday to try to use up my last tag, but no sign or even a grunt from the hills around us.

Now it's time for A-zone archery.

busted- I've been hunting so much that I haven't had time to post.

Not quite as easy hunting pigs this time of year either... 114 degrees here today. We're really having to work here for it. I remember the good old days (about a month ago), we could stroll out in the field a wack a pig when it was a little more convenient for us. Now it's 4AM or nada.

Ducslayer- I'll get pix and we will post Matt's hunt.

Tommy does come and help me all the time- he is an awesome guy- we've been buds for 20 years. Err, or ,maybe it's closer to 30. That's OK, we still think we look the same as we did when we were in our twenties.

The heat has kept me on the water fishing the sierras. With that said my favorite place is FHL. Any reports coming out of there recently? It is the only publlic land that I have been hunting and planning a trip in late August. With the restrictions on hunting pre-dawn how do you hunt piggies in the heat. Look for water I know but anything else to look for??? maybe shade and tall grass???

PublicLandHunter and I spent the morning of the 4th pig and rabbit hiking up at San Louis WMA. Came upon some REALLY fresh pig sign on the bottom where there was still water, but never caught up with him.

Only got one arrow off, but missed the damn rabbit...

Yes, it was hot.

It's too hot to even breathe. Wife's got the A/C cranked up 24/7 and won't open the damned windows at night. Every moment I'm at home the 2 year old is screaming "OUTSIDE!" but it's too danged hot to even sit in the shade of the tree! I'm tellin' ya, if this heat don't break soon I'm moving to Iceland.

I have been out looking but it is to darn hot for anything out there. I tried A/M and P/M. P/M it stays to hot well past last light, A/M is short as heat climbs FAST ! ! ! Bring on the artic currents..
