If you have always wanted to go on an Elk hunt but just didn't know where to go or if you would just like to go Elk hunting give me a PM. We are a group of Elk hunters that have some room for others.
We will be hunting cows and spikes. The cost for tags and licenses for the cow is around $300.
Spike is around $440. We go the 2nd and 3rd weeks in Oct. If interested and have any questions give me a PM. We are easy going folks more than willing to show new hunters the ropes or old hunters our honey holes.

from the price and dates sounds like you're talking Colorado??? Me and my pops go to Colorado for cow elk as often as we can. We usually do unit 61 if we can get the tag but we'd love to try some new areas.

Where ya hunting? I wasn't draw (again) and was contemplating another OR bow hunt but it kicked the everloving crap outta me last fall. Pricier hunt too but that's nonresident hunting for ya.

Price sounds like Utah. I just forked over $600 to put in for a cow elk tag in Colorado. But I'm in next year if the invite is open still!

I have had a fair amount of response from this post. I need to cut it off for now. I have a list of people who are interested. Any more and I could not handle the logistics of it. If I find that there is more room I will re-post. Those who have received communications from me are on the list.

Don't want to nitpick, but a Colorado cow elk tag is $355 from the DOW. Best deal going- as far as I know. Anyone paying $600 has to be doing some private land thing.

I just realized why it was $600 bucks. Because my 2nd choice was antlered bull. So if I draw cow my license will be $355, and if I don't I get the bull tag at $600. I'm glad you pointed that out nickman, thanks!
