Fellas,

After years of trying my wife was drawn for X3A. She recently went back to work after 10 years of raising kids. She is limited on time but is going up this weekend. I will go up Friday and scout the evening. Not asking for any secret spots, but can anyone point me to a well known or common areas that are hunted. She hasn't shot a buck (only waterfowl) and isn't picky on a monster. Just want an area to start scouting so I can tell her news friday night.....I know I'll receive the should've scouted in August.... Any friendly suggestions are appreciated.

Just because there's a fence doesn't mean it's not public on the other side! Hopefully, you'll have good maps and gps to know exactly where you are. There's a lot of country that you'd think is private but it's actually public that has fencing up for the cattle.

I was up there in Archery season for the first time, we found some bucks on Likley Mountain, way up towards the top, lots of good area to glass, also try Portuguese Sheep camp
