I've heard of a club in calif. Wilderness Adventures I think ,It has a series of propertys in Calif. for various types of hunting. I would like to find out more about this,can any of you direct me. website etc. Thanks Marshhawk

Sounds like you're referring to Wilderness Unlimited.... www.wildernessunlimited.com I believe is the site you're looking for. I am a member, but haven't had time to use any of the properties yet. Planning on getting on one with my uncle for opening archery deer in July. They have four different types of memberships that vary in price and access to properties. You'll hear mixed reviews, but from what I have gathered is if you are retired or have a lot of free time, it's a great deal. If not so much time, you have to weight the pros and cons....the sales reps are kind of pushy and want an answer right there on the spot, they don't want to give time to think it over much. At least, that's from personal experience. If you don't think you'll use it right away, ask about joining as an inactive member...it might be something to consider as I have heard that prices to join go up every year.

I've been a member for about five years do not get to hunt the WU land much but very happy with the ranches I've hunted. I've only bow hunted WU ranches one ranch I should say the first time I put in they assigned me this ranch and it was a great ranch bow hunting only.
