As of this posting, the following dates are the only ones left for 2008. Each weekend hunt will have a minimum of 6 hunters and a maximum of 8.

March 28 – 30 ~ 3 spots
April 25 – 27 ~ 4 spots
May 9 – 11 ~ 4 spots (Mothers Day Weekend)
May 23 – 26 ~ 7 spots (Memorial Day Weekend) extra day of hunting
1 weekend in June ~ either the 13th – 15th (Fathers Day) or the 20th – 22nd

At the end of June, I will be locking the gate and closing the books on 12+ years of Wild Hog Adventures. I have thought long and hard about this decision and have concluded that is the best thing for my family and I. Apparently I did such a good job that I am now too busy and have lost sight of the most important things in my life, my family. The hunting business is taking too much of my time, time that would be better spent at home. Throughout the years I have met a lot of people from all over the U.S. Some have become great friends and you know who you are. When I switched from rifle hunting to archery only in 2002, I took a huge risk. And it cost me for the first couple years. But eventually my business picked up I became one of the best places to archery hunt wild hogs in California. I am proud of what I have achieved and thank all of you who have supported me and hunted with me over the years. I would like to especially thank Jesse for all he has done for me and all of the hunters out there. This is a great site that provides a great service to the outdoor community.

Sorry to lose the opportunity to hunt your place, but that's of small importance when it comes to what you need to do to keep family and your personal life first.

Might need to do a big change myself pretty soon to keep my family and personal life from getting buried by work.

Oh Chopper, look what you've done... You've gone and made "Girl" cry (and I hate crying!)... And I've only been there once! I sure wish that I could've made it out there for one last dance but I've got so much going on in the next couple of months that my boss at the bar will probably wonder if I still want to work there since I'll be taking so many weekends off!

Sure had some great hunts there, and wish I could've made one more hunt to finally break that archery jinx!

Bummer to hear that Chopper but family first! Even my small side business takes it's toll on family time, I can't imagine the toll a full blown operation like your's must take. I'm glad I'll be able to make the hunt in April so I can experience it once before you go.

It's sounds like you have had a beautiful ride and now it's time to layback and enjoy the family. Congrats on such a succesfull venture and making other peoples hunting dreams a reallity. I never got the privelage of hunting your property but have read many great stories making feel like I was there with the lot of you. Good luck with your future plans and slam them this year for all of us. As for the privelaged that get to hunt with BigTusker this year good luck and enjoy.

Dang that was hard to hear. Thanks for doing what you've done for us. I got my first archery hog there and have had three great hunts on that place. Will miss it. Now I'll just have to see if I raise the funds to get out one more time.

Dangit Man...I guess that forces my hand in joining the other dudes in June for another and potentially last hunt. Not sure, but i think us Oregon boys were archery hunting Choppers before or right when it went archery only..I've been seven or eight times and it's been a blast every trip..Chopper is a fantastic dude (even when he cries a little over the ultimate fighter outcomes) and your place is a first class operation.
