I live in Hesperia CA, and this evening while out 'yote hunting I came across a dead something. The closer I got, the more it looked like a pig. All the years I have been hunting the high desert(D-14) I have NEVER seen a hog. This was obviously a dead hog, had tusks about an inch and a half long, extremely big boddied!! I'd say he was at least a 230+ pound pig. Has anyone on here ever heard of wild hogs up in this area? I took 2 pictures, however I am new to this forum, and I do not know how to upload photo's to a post...

I saw a pig in Deep Creek many moons ago, down on the far west end by the dam. Supposedly a local ranched had some escape into the SBNF around there.

Where do you have the pic? On your cell or camera? You can upload pics from your computer by attaching them here. Use the attachment feature when you post.

spectr17, I have the pic on my cell. I know how to upload the pic to my profile, but how can I put it on this post for you all to see?

My brother lives up there, says people lose hogs and goats (pets) all the time. Unlikely there's a feral population there, they'd drop down if there were. Pigs are smart like that.

I can upload pics from my cell by plugging the cell into my computer with a mini usb cord. You can use Dropbox app if you don't have a cord, drop the pic into dropbox and it will appear on your computer dropbox and then upload here. Do you have a computer or are you only on a cell? GEt Dropbox, it's one of the best apps to have if you use more than your cell.

I believe I saw some in the Mojave River bottom near Hwy 18 back in the 90s. I still look around hoping to find some.
