This is a lose, lose situation for hunters. Believe it or not, I e-mailed the ranch listed on there asking for permission and was denied rudely. Oh well....so much for trying to help out. I'm waiting for the day when a wild pig walks outside my door. I'll be running after it with my rambo knife LOL.

IMHO,the same could be said for most counties here in CA. Lots of whining about feral pig problems, yet no ranches allow any hunting. Especially the ones around here with wine grapes...

thats usually the way it seems to work! people bitch and complain but wont let a good hunter that will respect his land and even give him some sausage if he wants. too many people have ruined us good hunters from gettin to hunt on there lands because stupid hunters with no respect for anyone but themselves pissed people off. then word gets around that hunters do more damage then good.

Haha, I'd do the same. My parents have farm land by the foothills, just waiting for them to show up! They said pigs were showing up at shields and mccall, that's like a 5 minute drive from my house, just wish we could hunt there lol.

If you get a chance to see it that close...you might as well just go out with a rambo knife and stab the living daylights out of it LOL.

There's always archery hunting them. Nice and quiet if you can get to an area where they come into the orchards, you know, not private property. I used to arrow pigs all the time, it's the best way to hunt them! (disclaimer--I've never knife hunted hogs, and I'm scared to, so archery is the best way, for me) :D

I'd be too scared to try to stab one. I'd rather just shoot it with my bow lol. No need to duke it out with a pig, as we already know who's going to win that fihgt :bag-on-head:

Stabbing is a two man job. LOL. One grab hold of both hind legs while the other attempts to stab the daylights out of it. LOL

I'll do it LOL. Since it's only a few minutes away from your house, have you checked it out? You might want to bring your bow as well. LOL Oh wait, it's already dove season....so forget the bow and bring out the slugs. LOL.

Haven't been out to my parents farm in a long time. Maybe I'll check it out this weekend, I'm going to bring my bow only, no need to bring out the shotgun. Already have too much doves in the freezer from last week and nobodys eating them.
