Here's my latest go round with a gopher. Can't shoot here in the city so I had to use other methods.

Next time you have to trap find a hole like the second one and put two traps in back to back in the tunnel and cover the hole with a bucket or rock or plywood. They will crawl right on over and you'll get him one way or the other.

Gophers eat fresh young roots, fresh young leaves, older roots and leaves, and then seeds. Peanut baits work best if all the vegetation in your yard is dead first. Sane deal with moles. They got worms and grubs to eat they will chow on them all day before seeds and nuts.

If you do decide to go with the baits in the future, poke holes in several places in the tunnel runs and give them lots of bait. That seems to be only way of getting the to chow down.

Nice catch on that gopher.
