Work*Play*Earth Day events to be held around the state in 2016

Here volunteers planted new trees in the new family campground at the Buckhorn State Park last yearPhoto Credit: WDNRMADISON - The public will have more opportunities than ever to celebrate Earth Day while helping out and enjoying a Wisconsin state park, forest, trail or wildlife property during the eighth annual Work*Play*Earth Day events that will be held around the state. - - - - This year there are 29 properties holding events, up from 25 in 2015. Volunteer events are sponsored by the Friends of Wisconsin State Parks and Department of Natural Resources properties. This year events will be held April 16, 22, 23, 30 and May 7.
