Awesome!!!!! What a nice sized sow. Thanks for sharing the picture and story. The wild pigs must taste real good since Indonesia is tropical with lush, rich, green vegetation. God Bless.

Indo, another great looking pig! Do you have any pics of the terrain you hunt for them in? I would love to see what it looks like.

the pig that i got actually tastes really good, we have 5 different types of wild pigs here according size and appearance. in some sea side area, the pigs smells really bad since they only eat anything that they can find such as fish, crabs, and some animal carcass. the one i got was taken in the mountain the this type of pigs only eats wild fruits and crops so the meat taste very good. the local people will track/ guide pig hunting for us, since the pigs usually raid their crops and they will help us to carry the stuff and pigs. it just like in africa, but it is way much cheaper and closer to my home.

CAhntr :i don't have the pictures from my hunting areas yet, since i usually left my camera in the hunting cabin since we are in the rainy season now. i will bring my camera as soon as i got the chance. the terrain here seems like the one i saw in from our friends in Hawaii, we do have a dense forest with some time in the hillside, so we can have a long shot and also short shot opportunity.
THE ROMAN ARCHER : i have never tried knifing any pigs since i don't have any hunting dogs here.

this is a different sow, i got this one a week before the one on the top.
it was taken using 270 win using 150 grn corelokt soft point from about 20m. it was about 60kgs after gutted.
i was hunting from the tree stand with a local farmer around the wild jack fruit trees. i saw the sign of pigs eating the fallen jackfruits. i was on the treestand at starting about 3pm, at 5 pm i heard my friend were shooting in the distance, then about 7 pm i heard the leaves rustle, but somehow the pigs didnt eat the falllen jackfruit, it came back, maybe they heard or smelt something. at about 9pm i went down from my tree stand. on the way back to the local people's house, i heard pig were squealing, so we were trying to close in and try to locate the pigs, there are other trees that were on the fruiting period. we sat in the dark and trying to locate the pigs, then we heard the pigs were chewing on the wild fruit tress( i dont know what is the english name), then we try to close in and close in, we were using a 12v lightforce spotlight to check for every 50m, i was walking using my led flashlight that were cover with my palm since i was affraid it will spook the pigs, then the local farmer turn on the spotlight, i saw 2 pigs were eating the fruits, i took the one on the right facing to the left. after the big boom, we found the sow lying in the same spot, it didnt even move for a feet. then other local farmers came to find us to help us carry the pig, it was an hour walk uphill.
the weird things is i saw a big entry wound on the left front leg, and 2 hole through the right front legs, can anyone explain this to me? is the core lokt split between the jacket and the core?

It is pretty cool that people can share a hobby half way around the world. Nice pics thanks for sharing. I noticed the very flat head and snout, not to mention pretty big tusks for a sow. Good shooting.
