I used a .44 mag Blackhawk. We could not get to where we wanted to hunt, the creeks were to high to cross. Tried a new area on the suggestion of a game warden. There was some javelina sign, so I stuck to the brush around it. I must have walked right past them, looked back and saw them below me in a saddle. I did smell them going up. A little sneak back and had a nice broadside shot at this guy. It was the only group of pigs I saw, rain does not help javelina hunting.
