Deadline is April 17th,for those that havn't drawn in the "Silver State",yet.Drew in 05,myself,now must sit out 10 yrs !!! before applying for a BULL TAG,again.Plenty of cow tags,though --- Good Luck

actually the freezer's just about empty, we've eaten 2 1/2 elk and 3 deer already since huntin season(we've got about 40 lbs. of burger and about 5 roasts left, all the steaks are gone already

WE SAW A HERD OF ABOUT 400 ELK OPENING MORNING, AND THEN PROBABLY 100-120 HEAD OVER THE NEXT WEEK

This Bull was taken last Sept in unit 231,took 10 years/B.P. to draw.Unit is Huge,with elk over most of area.Hunted 5 days,never saw another hunter while in the field !!! Hunt is usually best over water,but in "05" rains came early and often prior to "Opener" and the waterhole hunting was a "NO".Pre-Rut was on,and calling worked.Called this 6X7 away from HIS 8 cows and 1 shot at 22yds took both lungs out.Now only can apply for cow elk hunts till I sit out a "Mandatory" 10 years.This makes Nv bull elk hunts usually a "Once In A Lifetime Hunt". Good Luck to ALL this Season

Great bulls guys!!! I hunted NV last year for elk and was not able to get into the bull I wanted. I came home with a truck load of memories and no horns. I had a great time and thanks for the pictures
