Howdy Hi all and hope you all had a great 2008, I have been playing catch up after the 25 day's I took of during elk season lol. I was very lucky this year to have filled out opening morning around 7:20 I shot a 6x6 lurking in a sliver of spruce. I had just climbed up the back side of a cliff to sneak down the rim and try to catch one dropping down into the green timber below the cliff. the kicker is I laid him down 30 yards from the bull I shot last year and two hundred from the one I shot two years ago as well as 300 yards from the bull three years ago. Now we hunt a wide range and cover most of it, the odds of getting the bulls in one area is un herd of in our camp maybe one or two bulls in one location, but I have shot a total of 7 bulls within 500 yards of this cliff and as a camp we have taken 14. Now I shot quite a few in random spots over the years, but when the hunt gets tuff and you feel you have to believe in Karma our luck. I go to that cliff top " I call the killing field's" and fresh sign or no sign she will muster up a bull for us.
I Have been loading the complete video of the hunt and plan to add some 200 hours of footage I have taken over the years most of the footage focus's on day to day camp life and the logistics behind a pack in hunt.
