1/2 off at 100, how far off at 400?

I sighted in my 7mm mag at 100 yds. and it was approx. a one inch group, 1/2 inch off my vertical line (straight up and down). What will that 1/2 inch translate to at 400 yards? Thanks.

The law of similar triangles is simple. If your range is multiplied by a factor of 4, the error would also be magnified by an error of 4; in this case -- 2".

I'm assuming you're talking about windage since you said 1/2" off your vertical line. Elevation is an entirely different story and it depends on your muzzle velocity and ballistic coefficient.
